My Longarm Journey
I started quilting in 2001, drawn to the color, creativity and precision of piecing beautiful blocks. Like many quilters, I quickly accumulated a growing stack of unfinished tops—each one waiting for that final quilting step.
For years, I wrestled with finishing my quilts on a domestic machine. The puckers, the sore shoulders, the frustration of shoving all those layers through limited throat space—it was exhausting.
I wanted to quilt more intricate designs and actually finish my projects, but the process was holding me back.
Everything changed when I invested in a Grace Q’nique 21x Elite longarm machine in 2024. Suddenly, quilting became a joy instead of a struggle.
And that’s when it hit me: if I’d struggled this much, other quilters must be too.
We’re in that sweet season approaching retirement, and I finally have the time to pursue this next step in my quilting journey. So I opened JChristy Quilts, not just to finish my own quilts, but to help other quilters complete theirs.

IF I WASN´T A LONGARMER..
I’d probably still be building websites. I really did love building a relationship with the community but I was burned out and wanted a different creative outlet.
MY FAV ACTIVITY..
Scuba diving. Oh, man, this one is such fun! There’s a whole-nother world under the sea and it’s breathtaking. We also enjoy paddle-boarding, kayaking & swimming. In the fall you can find us hiking in the North Ga Mtns.
I´M MOST THANKFUL FOR...
My Father In Heaven! My husband! My family! My Grandchildren. And the freedom we have in our country to homeschool and have home based businesses.
WHAT I LOVE EAT..
Literally anything Mediterranean food, followed by a good steak. I’m actually sort of a health nut, but Mexican food has a special place in my heart, er, stomach as well. Basically, I like food which means-I need to workout.
THIS OR THAT..
I prefer tea over coffee. Especially green tea but I drink all kinds of herbal concoctions throughout the day.
MY PASSION..
I raise, show & sell Rex rabbits. Tri-color & reds are my passion project right now, but I also raise lilac, blue and many other colors. Maybe I quilt to support my rabbit habit.

The gospel of Jesus Christ is the death, burial and resurrection. It’s the only way to salvation, Jesus came to earth born a virgin, lived a sinless life when he took the cross, it was unjust, like a lamb being led to the slaughter. He took our punishment – infinite punishment for all time , past present future what you have to do is believe in His free offering of grace.
You don’t have to say certain prayers, give certain things, invite him anywhere, don’t look to anything else, look to Christ on the cross He died on the cross was buried and 3 days later rose again.
If you believe in that, you will go to heaven, you will have a relationship with Jesus.
That’s it. That’s what matters most
